This May, we launched a wave of power-ups designed to elevate your workflow, boost field visibility, and deliver next-level productivity.
From real-time field tracking and seamless Slack integration to revamped dashboards and smarter reporting, TeamTrace is now faster, sharper, and more intuitive than ever before.
We’re excited to announce the launch of one of our most requested features this May. Global Slack Integration is now live on TeamTrace!
With this powerful update, you can connect your Slack workspace to TeamTrace in just a few clicks, and start receiving real-time login/logout notifications across selected Slack channels.

How It Works
Step 1: Log in to TeamTrace
Visit the TeamTrace Portal and log in using your registered email ID and password.
Step 2: Navigate to Integration Settings
From the left-hand side menu, go to Settings.
Click on Integrations.
Choose Slack from the available integration options.
Step 3: Connect Your Slack Workspace
Click on the “Connect” button (available both in the center and the top right corner of the screen).
Ensure that the Slack desktop or web app is already installed and accessible on your device.
When prompted, sign in to your Slack workspace.
Step 4: Authorize TeamTrace
Choose the relevant Slack workspace you want to integrate with.
You’ll be redirected to an authentication window.
Click “Allow” to authorize TeamTrace’s access to your Slack workspace.
Step 5: Confirmation
Once authorized, you will see the message: “Slack Authentication Successful.”
The connection status at the top left will now show Connected.
Step 6: Manage Slack Channels
Your integrated Slack workspace will now appear within TeamTrace.
You’ll see default channels like #all-teamtrace, #social, etc.
If you wish to add more channels, click on “Add Channels.”
Step 7: Configure Notification Channels
Select the channels where you’d like to receive login/logout notifications.
Upon selection, a confirmation pop-up will appear:
“Slack channel set successfully” for both People (Login) and People (Logout).
Step 8: Verify in Slack
Go to your Slack workspace and open the configured channel (e.g., #all-teamtrace).
Click on “More Actions”, that is, the three-dot menu (top right corner).
Select “Open Channel Details.”
Now, go to the Integrations tab and click on “Add Apps.”
The TeamTrace App has now been added to the selected channel.
Note: Repeat the same steps for any other channel (e.g., #social) where you want notifications delivered.
Step 9: Notifications in Action
Once configured, TeamTrace will send automatic notifications to the specified channels, indicating:
When someone starts tracking time (Login)
When someone stops tracking time (Logout)
Only channels configured within TeamTrace will receive these updates.
Step 10: Disconnect Slack Integration (Optional)
To disconnect Slack from TeamTrace at any time:
Click on the “Disconnect” button at the top right.
A confirmation will appear: “Success!”

You’ve successfully integrated Slack with TeamTrace to streamline communication and visibility across teams.
2. Backlog Section Revamp – Smarter, Sleeker, and More Actionable
Managing project tasks just got a major upgrade! The Backlog section under Projects has been completely revamped to offer a cleaner, more intuitive interface so that you canassign, prioritize, and schedule tasks faster than ever.
Step 1: Simply head to Projects, select any project (e.g., Flipkart), and click on Backlog
Step 2: Enjoy a smart and streamlined view that organizes your backlog clearly and logically.
Step 3: Assign teammates instantly from a user-friendly drop-down list
Step 4: Set task priority levels with just a click.
Step 5: Choose due dates effortlessly with an enhanced date picker.
3. Field People > People Logs Revamp – Real-Time Insights Made Seamless
We’ve reimagined the People Logs section under Field People, and the result? A cleaner, more functional interface that puts the data you care about front and center.
Here’s what’s new and what each component offers:
Name Column
Instantly view your field team members’ names along with profile pictures or initials for easy identification. This list is neatly sorted, and you can even filter by name using the search bar in the top right corner for faster navigation.
Punched-In Time
Know exactly when your field staff last clocked in, down to the minute. This gives managers an accurate idea while taking care of attendance tracking and shift management.
Work Hours
No more guessing productivity. This column displays total active work hours for the day. Whether someone has just started or already logged a full day, it’s all visible at a glance. Monitor time spent on the job and stay ahead on productivity.
Travel (in km)
This section shows how much distance each team member has traveled during work hours. This is ideal for logistics, field force monitoring, and route optimization. From zero travel to multiple kilometres, you get complete visibility.
Due Date Filter
Planning or reviewing a specific day? Use the calendar on the top-right to filter logs by date, making it super easy to check past records or monitor current-day performance.
Pagination & Records Per Page
Navigate smoothly across entries with pagination controls at the bottom and a drop-down to set how many records you want to see at a time (e.g., “Showing 1-3 of 3”).
4. Introducing Real-time People under Field People
We’re excited to unveil a powerful enhancement to the Field People module—Real-time People. With this new feature, you can now instantly view the live location of any field employee the moment they punch in via the TeamTrace mobile app.
How It Works: Navigate to Field People > Real-time People on your dashboard. You’ll see a real-time feed of employees who have punched in for the day, along with the exact time they began working or started their commute to the work site.
Live Map View: The right-hand map dynamically updates with their current GPS location, ensuring you know where your field staff are located with precision. Zoom in on the map to get pinpoint accuracy down to the street level.

5. Add People in Project Settings: Now Smarter, Smoother, and Simpler
Managing team members within projects just got a whole lot easier!
With our revamped ‘Add People’ interface under Project Settings, adding team members to a project is now faster, clearer, and more intuitive than ever before.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Navigate to Projects and select the desired project from your list (for example, Flipkart).
Step 2: Click on Settings from the top.
Step 3: Head over to the People tab.
You’ll now see a streamlined, redesigned window that makes team management a breeze.
Easily view current project members.
Use the prominent ‘Add People’ button at the top-right to bring new teammates on board in just a few clicks.
Enjoy a seamless, clutter-free experience with improved usability and clarity.
Step 4: Now, once you click ‘Add People’, here’s what follows.
Select team members effortlessly from the dropdown list and assign them a role. Choose from Admin, Manager, Member, Viewer, or Editor based on their responsibilities.
Track past project involvement at a glance!
Click on ‘View’ under Project Summary next to any team member’s name, and a dynamic left-hand panel will appear, displaying a detailed project history for that individual. This will help you comprehend past contributions.
More control at your fingertips! Click the three-dot menu beside each team member’s name to access key actions.
Change Rate & Effort
Easily edit the Rate Per User and Effort (hours) by clicking the edit icon. Update and save in seconds.
Remove from Project
Select the project(s) from which you want to deboard the user and set a custom deboarding date to manage transitions smoothly.
Update Skills
Add or update skills to reflect their current expertise, and save the changes instantly.
Update Access Role
Quickly modify a member’s access level with just a few clicks, ensuring the right people have the right permissions.
This revamp transforms project team management into a streamlined process, giving you complete control with unmatched clarity.
6. Delayed/On-time Task Report: A Complete View of Task Performance
Here’s to unveiling a powerful addition to TeamTrace’s Analytics module: the Delayed and On-Time Task Reports. This feature gives managers and team leads unmatched visibility into how efficiently tasks are being executed across the organization.
Track Task Performance at a Glance
These two categorized reports: Delayed Tasks and On-Time Tasks, help you assess whether tasks were completed:
Before or on their due date
Or after the deadline had passed
Each report is designed with clarity, offering side-by-side comparisons of estimated vs actual effort, making task management more data-driven and transparent than ever before.
Let’s take a look at the components that are included here:
Task ID & Title Quickly identify each task by its unique ID and name. Clicking on the task ID redirects you to its detailed task page.
Due Date
The deadline originally assigned to the task, allowing you to see how timely the completion was.
Completed Date
Shows when the task was actually completed.
Estimated Time
The planned time allocated for the task. This helps set expectations at the start.
Actual Time
Tracks the real time taken to complete the task. This comparison with estimated time reveals any inefficiencies or underestimations.
Date Range Filter (Top Right Dropdown)
Toggle between periods like This Month, Last Month, and custom ranges to analyze performance trends across time.
Download Option
Export the report in a downloadable format to store offline or integrate into broader reporting systems.
Switch Report
Toggle between On-Time and Delayed views with just one click.

Whether you’re managing a sprint or reviewing progress mid-cycle, precision and visibility are key. That’s why we’ve introduced the enhanced Project Ticket Details Sidebar. It’s your all-in-one hub for tracking time and reviewing detailed work history.
Let’s see how you can make the most of this feature:
Step 1: Navigate to Projects
Choose your project (e.g., Anmol).
Now, click on Task in the top navigation bar.
Step 2: Select the Ticket from the Board View
Within your chosen project board, pick any task, such as #ANM-7 – Umbrella under In Progress.
This opens the right-hand panel with detailed task information.
Step 3: Click the Screenshot Icon
Instantly view timestamped screenshots of the user’s activity, broken down by time intervals.
From 11:08 to 14:56, for example, you’ll see visual evidence of focused work, ideal for validation and reviews.
Step 4: Access the Worklog Tab
Just above the screenshots, click on Worklog to see a clear summary of hours worked.
You’ll get an exact log like:
14:21:55 – 14:26:18 (4m 23s)
14:27:23 – 14:56:03 (28m 40s)
All time entries are neatly itemized, including:
Date of work
Start and end time
Duration per session
Step 5: Select Date Ranges

8. The Report Download Manager in Analytics
TeamTrace now offers a centralized, intuitive Report Download Manager. It’s your single destination to view, manage, and download project and timesheet reports with ease. So, you won’t have to dig through emails or outdated folders anymore.
So, how does it work? Let’s see!
Step 1: Navigate to Analytics From the left menu, head over to Analytics and click on Download Manager.
Step 2: Instant Access to All Downloads
The dashboard displays a clear list of:
File Names
Downloaded By
Download Date & Expiry Date
Download Link
Step 3: Seamless Navigation & Filters
View up to 20 or 40 or 60 entries per page and browse through hundreds of reports using the pagination control at the bottom. Everything is clearly sorted for quick access.
Step 4: Preview or Save
Click on any “Project_Report_Detailed” or “Timesheet_Consolidated” link to instantly save the report locally.
